- Framework for the provision of Domiciliary Care for children and young people
Merton is intending to remodel its domiciliary care service for children and young people in order to:
• deliver greater efficiencies
• implement contractual arrangements
• deliver a person centred service in line with the personal budget agenda
The need to remodel the service is further necessitated by the growing spend on domiciliary care and the urgent need to reduce costs
The Council currently offers the following services:
• Personal Care in the home
• Activities in the home
• Activities out of the home
• Nursing Care
This tender will create a framework using a restricted 2 stage tender process. The new service model will be based on the following service areas
• Care in the home• Care outside the home
• Nursing
• Provision of Personal Assistants
The council plans to use the framework contract to centralise the booking process for services.
A copy of the presentation to the recent provider forum held by the council is appended.
The council is seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced providers to tender for this service. Interested organisations need to register an expression of interest and will be invited to complete a pre-qualification questionnaire which the council will use to short list bidders to be invited to tender.
The PQQ will be available to download for bidders from 9 March 2015
