Transport for London has a requirement to provide potable water and hot beverage consumables throughout it’s property portfolio. The new framework arrangement will consist of the following lots; Lot One Hot Beverage Consumables and Light Catering Equipment; Lot Two: Potable Bottled Water; It is envisaged that each lot will be awarded to a single vendor, however if in TfL’s opinion, no single vendor is able to meet TfL’s scope and scale, we reserve the right to award to multiple vendors for that lot. The new Framework will be available to all members of the GLA family, which currently are the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (LFEPA), the Mayor’s Office for Policing and Crime and other publicly funded bodies within the Greater London area should they wish to join at any time during the agreement term.

The provision of Potable Bottled Water (PBW) is currently provided for two specific operational business requirements. Firstly, maintenance personnel for the London Underground network are provided with PBW, with circa 200,000
bottles being provided for this purpose annually. Secondly, the London Underground Emergency Planning Department at twenty two London Underground locations has PBW stored that is provided to the general public when emergency situations arise. Currently there are circa 45,000 bottles stored for this purpose across the network.

Should groups of contractors wish to submit a joint response, they will be required to form a single entity representing the group to whom the Authority will award the Framework Agreement. Alternatively, a contractor in the group must be appointed as the lead and this contractor will act on behalf and be responsible for the entire group and will be the party to whom the Authority awards the Framework Agreement.
