Lot 2 — Chassis >7,5 tonne — lorries and miscellaneous chassis (estimated total framework quantity = 32).
II.2.2)Information about options
Description of these options: i) The economic operator may not offer chassis from any other manufacturer than the one accepted on the award of the framework agreement.
ii) Alternative models of chassis from the original manufacturer may be offered during the life of the framework, however any proposals to offer alternative chassis models must be submitted to the Fleet Manager before they can be approved and must maintain compliance with the council’s specified requirements.
iii) The council will assess and authorise any proposed new or alternative products against the contract specification, alongside any new standards and/or legislative requirements that may come into effect over time. Any alternative items offered must have the same or improved functionality. Any new products must offer tangible benefits and increased value. The economic operator must provide a fully detailed specification or data sheet for any new models.
iv) The council may request to undertake an evaluation of any new chassis models offered, which will be conducted in line with the Chassis Evaluation criteria detailed in the Award Criteria detailed in Section 4 of the ITEO document.
v) New and alternative chassis models should lead to a reduced whole life cost.
vi) The Council reserves the right to reject new or alternative products, should the above conditions not be met.
vii) The Council may from time to time require variations on the chassis listed within the framework product range. Some examples of these are set out in the ‘Options’ tab of the “Specification Checklist and Pricing” spreadsheet attached on YORtender. These might include for example hybrid vehicles or different cab or drivetrain combinations.
