The Forestry Commission invites tenders from Civil Engineering contractors who have the necessary experience, expertise and resources to construct, repair and maintain timber haulage routes and other amenity and recreational infrastructure throughout the Forestry Commission estate in England.
Important: – It must be noted that the nature of the works is unpredictable, fragmented and spread over a large geographic area with a significant proportion of the requirement likely to be for small scale repair works (often not exceeding 1 – 2 man days or GBP 1 000 value) which require a rapid response from the contractor. Before confirming their interest all contractors should consider whether the nature of this delivery requirement is appropriate to their particular circumstances.
