Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the Regional Transport Partnership (RTP) for the west of Scotland. We are part of the transport framework created by the Scottish Government, which is made up of a national transport agency for Scotland and seven Regional Transport Partnerships. The SPT area comprises of the following council areas: East Dunbartonshire, East Ayrshire, East Renfrewshire, Glasgow City, Inverclyde, North Ayrshire, North Lanarkshire, Renfrewshire, South Ayrshire, South Lanarkshire, West Dunbartonshire and the Helensburgh and Lomond area of Argyll and Bute.
As part of SPT’s core activities we secure and award various types of transport contracts on behalf of council Education and Transport departments within the SPT area, Development Agencies and Health Trusts.
The purpose of this tender is to set up a multi supplier framework for the provision of Subsidised Local Bus Services with Contractors in possession of a current DVSA Operator’s Licence and/or Transport Act 1985 Licenced Permit holders.
The framework comprises of 12 Lots and Contractors can tender for any number of Lots.
SPT reserves the right to award one or more Lots from this Framework.
SPT also reserves the right to award no Lots.
The duration of the Framework will be for a maximum period of up to 4 years from the date of Contract Award.
SPT reserves the right to terminate the appointment to framework at any time providing a 30 day notice period.
