Description of the contract

Cornwall Council has set out its leadership strategy which is intended to both develop and retain the leadership skills and management capability required for a high performing organisation. The Future Leaders programme is a key component of the overall leadership strategy. Its purpose is to enable our existing Managers to develop their leadership capability and cultivate the culture we need to deliver our business plans. A cohort of candidates will be selected via an application and suitability assessment process; the successful candidates will participate in a number of development activities which will include an accredited program of learning. This accredited program of learning will be bespoke to Cornwall Council’s specific requirements. The Future Leaders Program 2013 is a pilot which will run over a 1 year period and there will be a cohort of 10 delegates (maximum). Considering that this is a pilot program there can be no guarantee in relation to future programs, however the intention is to run the program for a cohort of 10 on an annual basis.
