Description | About the Opportunity: The London Borough of Barking and Dagenham wishes to identify a voluntary sector partner to submit a joint bid for £100k in funding to the City of London under the Get Young People Working programme. Voluntary sector partners should be able to demonstrate: A minimum of 32 sustained (6 month) job outcomes should be secured and there is the expectation that other participants will move into accredited learning opportunities. See attachments for further details. About the buyer’s selection process: See application form attachment for detailed scoring. About the buyer: The Council has an excellent track record in creating apprenticeship opportunities and has continued to invest in infrastructure including a new Technical Skills Academy focused on 16-19 year olds in Barking Town Centre. The Council retains a 14-19 Careers Advice Service as well as a job brokerage service delivering information, advice and guidance services to adults. The Council wishes to work up a partnership bid with a voluntary sector provider to help tackle youth unemployment within the borough. |
