NGN are a gas utilities company based in the North of England. NGN have a field workforce of circa 1 150 staff operating on emergency and repair, new gas connections and mains and service replacement. This procurement is for a Geographic Information Systems (G.I.S.) solution to be used by the operational workforce.
The goal of this work is to:
— Provide user friendly visualisation of asset data layered over maps;
— Provide user friendly visualisation of workforce availability and workload;
— Provide a mobile (multiple platforms) GIS solution as well as desktop;
— Reduce back office data input time by enabling field data capture;
— Automatically dispatch work based on geographical considerations;
— Have a solution that NGN can easily configure and change in-house after go-live;
— Provide the ability to easily maintain data layers;
— Master and maintain asset data;
— Share visualised data on other portals;
— Deliver the solution and work with NGN (and its partners) in an Agile manner;
— Offer a cloud-based hosting with high levels of availability and appropriate security (IL2);
— Provide User Centred (UX) design and development;
— Solution should be developed using Automated Testing, Behavioural Driven Development and edge/UI testing;

— Integrate with other 3^rd party solutions via RESTful web service.
