Gloucestershire has c 62 000 unpaid carers. We want our carers to feel valued, empowered and supported to continue caring for as long as they choose. We are looking for a visionary provider(s) who shares our aspirations to improve the support available to carers. This will include promoting their wellbeing so that carers are supported to look after their own health, build and maintain their resilience and avoid crisis. We have 2 contracts available, 1 for adult and parent carers, and 1 for young and young adult carers. Providers may tender for 1 or both contracts. The Provider(s) will need to be innovative and flexible, capable of adapting their approach in a timely manner in response to new national guidance, local changing needs or good practice elsewhere. In order to achieve all of this and build a strong working relationship between us we are pleased to offer the successful provider(s) a 5 year contract, with an option to extend for (up to) a further 2 years.
