Description of the contract
The Customer is seeking a Supplier to provide training in business and commercial skills, to cohort of up to 20 senior staff from The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea’s Youth Support and Development Service –YSDS (the “Potential PSM”), one of the Cabinet Office pathfinder mutual projects. By the end of the course, “Course Participants” should have the ability to put into place clear actions that will lead to a more commercial approach to business development and growth. The Customer is aware that this training need is replicated across other, recently live PSMs and those currently being referred for support. Many of these PSMs are successfully delivering their first contract but continue to require support in order to grow, take on new contracts and make sensible investments. The Customer will therefore consider using the training developed under this Contract again, to support the wider Mutuals Support Programme agenda. The Customer is taking advantage of the opportunity to ‘pilot’ this training programme within a single PSM. Going forward, it is proposed that the course could be delivered to other live PSMs, with referrals made via the Mutuals Information Service. If demand for this sort of training grows, it is expected that course participants would include senior staff from a number of PSMs looking to develop commercial expertise and going for growth. The number of additional cohorts will be demand led, with up to 20 delegates per cohort.
