Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust requires a gritting service contract for car parks, road ways and pathways at its sites across Hampshire and Oxford and surrounding areas. The Trust requires the supplier to obtain reliable weather forecast data in order to implement consistent and defensible decision making arrangements for precautionary salting, providing surety of treatment and protection against litigation.
The supplier will be required to provide additional treatments on an ad hoc basis within 8 hours of instruction from SHFT representatives.
The supplier will be required to operate a fleet of properly maintained appropriate vehicles and plant, with GPS tracking facilities, full back up and sufficient supplies of salt.
The supplier will also be required to keep bulk and bag stocks in readiness to distribute to SHFT sites on a supply only basis.
