Grounds maintenance services. Hertsmere Borough Council (hereinafter referred to as the Council) is seeking a suitably experienced contractor to provide a grounds maintenance service, for a minimum of 7 years (subject to break clauses) from 1.3.2013. The contract will include grass cutting (on the highway and open spaces), hedge cutting, shrub / rose bed maintenance, sports pitch maintenance as well as options to undertake litter picking / cleansing and the maintenance of play equipment and grave-digging and cemetery maintenance.
The contract is likely to include the TUPE transfer of staff from the incumbent contractor – John O’Conner (GM) Ltd.

Hertsmere Borough Council has moved to a new way of e-Tendering and worked closely with the county, other districts and partners to create a joint procurement web site called Supply Hertfordshire. This web site is supported by BiP solutions who provide a system called Delta-ets which is the background platform to Supply Hertfordshire.
The pre-qualification process.
This tender is a two stage process and you will only be invited to tender if you have successfully passed through the pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) stage.
