First Ark is the parent company of the First Ark Group, which includes Knowsley Housing Trust (KHT), Vivark, One Ark and KHT Services.
First Ark is seeking bids from appropriately skilled and experienced contractors to provide a grounds maintenance service across approximately 454 sites in the North West, primarily in Knowsley.
The tender is for a contract with a single contractor. The contract will commence on 1.4.2014. The contract will be an initial 2 year fixed term contract with 5 annual options to extend by a further 12 months each, up to a maximum total contract duration of 7 years.
The successful bidder will be required to provide a range of grounds maintenance services to First Ark including but not limited to:
– Grass cutting;
– Hedge trimming;
– Shrub and tree pruning;
– Chemical weed treatments
– Maintenance of hard standing areas;
– Japanese Knotweed removal / treatment.
The successful bidder may subcontract some elements of this work if necessary (e.g. Japanese Knotweed).
A contract notice has been issued for this tender as a voluntary transparency notice. This tender is being undertaken as a Part B service as defined by Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2006 #5.
