L&Q Group is one of the largest providers of affordable housing in the UK, managing over 70,000 homes in London and the south east of England.
L&Q Group seeks interest from suitably qualified and experienced contractors in order to select a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 contractors to enter into contract to deliver their Grounds Maintenance services. The services have been divided into 4 regional Hubs, based on the neighbourhood management structure operated within L&Q Group. The services will include the provision of the following:
— Routine grounds maintenance – the undertaking of routine visits as necessary to individual sites in accordance with the frequency matrix detailed in the Invitation to Tender;
— Responsive grounds maintenance – the undertaking of specific grounds maintenance as and when required, to be undertaken within set priority times and which will be reimbursed against a schedule of rates which will be detailed in the Invitation To Tender;
— Emergency work – (4 hour call out) – work that is required to be undertaken, to safeguard the well-being of tenants/residents; and
— Out of Hours Emergency work (4 hour call out) – work that is required to be undertaken outside of the contracted normal working hours.
The following areas will be included in the scope of grounds maintenance services:
— Grass cutting, edging and removal of cuttings;
— Pre-cut litter removal;
— Hedge cutting;
— Maintenance of beds and shrubs;
— Pruning;
— Hard surface maintenance;
— Whole site maintenance;
— Graffiti removal;
— Tree maintenance.
Economic Operators should note that they are able to express an interest in one, more than one or all 4 Hubs. However, no contractor will be awarded more than 3 Hubs. Therefore L&Q Group will appoint a minimum of 2 and a maximum of 4 contractors.
