Swansea University are conducting a tender for the Swansea Centre for Health Economics for an initial period of 3 years, with the option to extend for a further 2 year. Please note that the University is using the Restricted Tender process, with 2 Lots and is being conducted electronically via etenderwales BravoSolution.

Lot 1 Systematic Reviewing: Swansea Centre for Health Economics (SCHE) wishes to engage in a partnership agreement/collaborative venture for an initial 3-year period (with the option to extend for a further 2 years), with a suitably experienced agency to provide advice, support and technical expertise in relation to undertaking Literature Search and Review.
This would encompass a range of search and review types from pragmatic, comprehensive reviews through to full systematic reviews. The context of this work is wide but in the main this would entail providing support in bidding for, and in conducting, research contracts for a variety of client organisations and funding bodies. The ability to undertake meta analysis would also be welcomed.
The specific requirements of Lot 1 are:
-To provide support and advice for SCHE in relation to undertaking reviews in developing proposals for commercial clients and responses to calls from research funding bodies
-To develop protocols for conducting reviews as required for health technology assessment and guidelines development schemes
-To undertake reviews from development of search strategy to production of report/paper as required by specific project remit
Lot 2 Literature Reviewing and Epidemiological Analysis: Swansea Centre for Health Economics (SCHE) wishes to engage in a partnership agreement/collaborative venture for an initial 3-year period (with the option to extend for a further 2 years), with a suitably experienced agency to provide advice, support and technical expertise in relation to undertaking Literature Searches and Reviews, along with Epidemiological Analysis to inform and support health economic modelling.
This would encompass a range of search and review types from pragmatic, comprehensive reviews through to full systematic reviews and epidemiological studies. The context of this work is wide but in the main this would include providing support in bidding for, and in conducting, research contracts for a variety of client organisations and funding bodies. The ability to undertake indirect comparisons and meta-analysis would also be welcomed.
The specific requirements of Lot 2 are:
-To provide support and advice for SCHE in relation to undertaking reviews and epidemiological studies in developing proposals for commercial clients and responses to calls from research funding bodies
-To develop protocols for conducting reviews as required for health technology assessment and guidelines development schemes
-To undertake reviews from development of search strategy to production of report/paper as required by specific project remit
-To provide support and advice to SCHE staff as appropriate in relation to epidemiology as required by specific project remit
-To assist in delivery of health economics modules on relevant Master’s level courses
-To conduct Specialist reviews using appropriate analysis on identified topics such as epidemiology, economic policy, disease burden and cost and experience of searching grey literature, conference presentations etc.
-To assist expert writers of reports, journal manuscripts and other communications
