Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire Councils wish to jointly procure respective Healthwatch services provided by a suitable provider. The provider shall be expected to utilise maximum opportunity for economies of scale and efficient working practises whilst maintaining the individual identity, integrity and local focus for each of the three services. South Gloucestershire Council has been appointed as the Lead Commissioning Authority for the procurement.

The service will be reviewed and recommissioned accordingly at the end of the contract term. The contract term is 36 months with the Council having the option to extend for a further 24 months. Any contract extension or renewal will be dependent upon continued need for the service, satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
