The council (awarding authority) is seeking 2 contractors for the provision of potable water testing, treatment and installations, responsive repairs, installations and maintenance for gas and heating installations to individual and district heated properties, gas landlords safety inspections, responsive repairs and maintenance for laundry and sewage plant, testing and maintenance regime for dry/wet riser installations and maintenance of building energy management systems to its housing stock in the north and south of the borough. The contractors will also be required to provide a 24/7 365 day response repair service.
The council (awarding authority) is seeking 2 contractors that will deliver fantastic customer service, achieve high levels of of resident satisfaction (whether tenant or leaseholder), deliver repairs ‘right first time’ every time with a motivated and highly focused workforce committed to delivering an excellent service.

The estimated value of each contract for lot 1 (Contract A) and lot 2 (Contract B) (see below) are 7 900 000 GBP per annum and 7 400 000 GBP per annum respectively. Tenderers may tender for both contracts but can only be awarded one contract. The appointed service providers for both contracts will provide their services across the borough and will be required to provide 24 hour emergency cover.

Pre-qualification questionnaires will be distributed to any organisation expressing an interest in these contracts to the contact detailed in section 1. All pre-qualification questionnaires must be requested and submitted by the time and date noted in section IV.3.4.
The council (awarding authority) is not liable for any costs (including any third party costs, fees or expenses) incurred by those expressing an interest in or tendering for these contract opportunities.

All organisations are required to hold Gas Safe Registration and NICEIC Approved Contractor or equivalent.
Organisations invited to tender may be invited to an open pretender meeting in the council’s (awarding authority’s) offices where further clarifications may be sought. Details of time and place will be included in the tender documents.
Tenders and all supporting documentation for the contracts must be in English and must be priced in sterling.
The form of contract for the successful contractors will be the JCT Measured Term Contract 2011 as amended by the council’s (awarding authority’s) specific terms. Appointments to these contracts are not a guarantee, warranty or assurance of any fixed amount of work.
