Description
The Forestry Commission is inviting tenders for the following operations within the Sherwood North and Sherwood South Beats of Central England Forest District –
• Mowing of verges and drains at roadside on public highways with sidearm flail – guide area 37100m2
• Drain maintenance within the wood and on public highways – guide length 6900 m.
• Hedgecutting at roadside on public highways – guide area 62500 m2
Traffic management where required as part of these operations is to be undertaken under the Chapter 8 of the Traffic Signs Manual, ‘Safety at Street Works and Road Works (A code of practice)’, as it refers to ‘Mobile and Minor Works carried out from a vehicle’.
