The Superfast Northamptonshire project is aiming to extend the availability of Next Generation Access (NGA) broadband across the county of Northamptonshire. To this end, Northamptonshire County Council has previously invested public funds through two contracts (Stage 1 and Stage 2), to extend the availability of NGA infrastructure in areas where no commercial plans were available from market players as verified through State Aid Public Consultations to around 94 % of the county.
Stage 3 is aiming to secure a telecom provider(s) to deploy NGA networks (supporting access line speeds of at least 30Mbps) into the final 6 % of the county for the funding envelope that is available. Further information regarding the tender is available in Data Room 1.
The procurement will follow on Open procedure and with the contract(s) expected to be awarded in January 2017.

Largely encompasses rural parts of Daventry district and Kettering Borough as well as the northern part of East Northamptonshire and some rural areas in Corby and Wellingborough. It contains 45,603 premises and includes 5 457 eligible White premises for the purpose of this procurement, of which 4 193 are immediately In Scope. The minimum value of Lot 1 is 3 200 000 GBP.

The Contract(s) awarded may be renewed in the event that the Authority requires an extension of the NGA deployed services whereby NGA coverage targets for the project have not been met in full. 3 900 000 GBP of the total procurement value may be awarded to support an extension of NGA deployed services, to be managed through the Contract Change Control Procedure.
