The contracting authority is giving potential suppliers early notification of an emerging requirement for the provision of site operations and process support services across the UK to support the department and potentially other Government Departments to undertake official borders and customs activities. It is not possible at this stage to provide any further details regarding the procurement as the approach has not yet been finalised pending the outcome of market engagement.

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
The contracting authority (CA) requirement is for the provision of support services to enable the CA officials to undertake physical and administrative duties at multiple locations across the UK. These support activities may include but are not limited to: the operational management of sites; ensuring that sites are fully equipped; principal contractor services, either setting up and/or adapting sites; carrying out non-core customer-facing processes, such as recording details of documents presented; security services; traffic management activities and; logistics services including transport and warehousing services. Innovation of these services and provisions is expected to continue throughout the term of the contract. Due to the nature of the requirement the business need access to a partner(s) who has a wide range of capabilities, who can respond in an agile manner to business needs and mobilise solutions in a short timescale.

The CA intends to undertake supplier engagement in May/June 2020. Details will be made available via SAP Ariba.
