Frequency and value of the contracts to be awarded: At the same time as tendering for the framework, Tenderers will be asked to submit prices for up to 400 routes which will be awarded after the commencement of the Framework Agreement. The Council may use e-auctions for some or all of the routes. Further contracts will be awarded via mini competition as and when required.

PCC wishes to appoint to a Framework a number of experienced and competent providers to provide local bus services (please see tender documents for route specifications) and mainstream Home to School transport services within and around the Powys border. There are currently 4 schools outside of the border: Bishops Castle (Shropshire), Ysgol Gwynllyw, Pontypool, Ysgol Gynradd Y Fenni (Monmouthshire) and Ysgol Gyfun Ystalyfera, (Neath Port Talbot).
For the purpose of clarity this Framework will not be used to procure specialised transport required for learners with Special Educational Needs.
The Council will conduct mini competitions for individual routes some of which may be subject to e-auction. It is at the Council’s sole discretion to take forward routes to e-auction.
