Gateshead Council is seeking to enter into a contract with a Commercial Adviser who can provide commercial and managerial support in delivering a high quality cost-effective housing repairs and maintenance service.
The Council has recently integrated its The Construction Service team with The Gateshead Housing Company (The Service) with the intention of directly delivering the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Works and Services.
Details of the areas of Commercial Support will include but is not limited to:
— Development of commercial insight and expertise;
— Improving repairs and maintenance through strategic asset management;
— Developing and sustaining customer service standards and outcomes;
— Management information, systems and procedures;
— Performance and measurement of the housing repairs and maintenance service;
— Workforce development;
— Mobilisation and timing;
— Staff and tupe;
— Social value;
— Sustainability;
— Flexibility and any additional services.
Estimated value excluding VAT:
Range: between 250 000 and 500 000 GBP

Description of particular conditions: Under this contract the successful organisation and potential sub contractors will be required to provide advise, expertise, knowledge and support to ensure a successful delivery of the Housing Repairs and Maintenance Service to meet the requirements of the Councils residents and enable a seamless customer experience. Accordingly contract performance conditions may relate to key elements.
