1. To replace the existing Housing Case Management system with a secure multi-user application which meets all the reporting requirements of the Housing Service and the Council’s statutory reporting requirements.
2. To implement a housing options approach to the provision of housing information and advice which is comprehensive, consistent and cost effective across the authority area and for each partner.
3. To explore options for an alternative provision of the common housing register facility to improve access to reporting facilities for all partners; to ensure compatibility with the housing options approach and to enable customers to make online applications.
4. To provide functionality to better support management reporting, research and performance indicator analysis by enabling pertinent performance data to be automatically generated for statutory and corporate performance reporting.
5. To deliver a system which will offer efficiencies through more effective use of online access for housing applicants, through improvements in timeliness and quality of information input and reduce duplication of data input through the use of system interfaces between the system and other Council and partner systems.
6. To provide the capability to facilitate mobile working for field staff to deliver efficiencies and reduce data re-entry.
7. To deliver a system which will facilitate more effective financial management processes, improved budgetary control and financial reporting in relation to Housing case management.
8. To migrate data from existing sources into the new applications as part of the implementation would be desirable.
