Lot 1 – Provision of suitable storage facilities for the storage, maintenance and management of spare cable and repair equipment associated with a subsea HV DC cable repair. The provision of associated ongoing risk analysis and management of cable laying vessel availability and pricing and the provision of mobilisation services and project management in the event of an offshore cable fault being identified.
Lot 2 – Offshore subsea HVDC cable repair capability on board ship provided by others, retention of knowledge and maintenance of cable jointing spares and spare cable.
Lot 3 – Combination of both Lot 1 and Lot 2.

Successful candidates must satisfy National Grid International Limited and Réseau de Transport d’Électricité on the appropriate contracting structure / legal entity in order to enter into contract with the Contracting entities.
The procurement process will consist of a PQQ followed by the issue of an ITT. Pre-qualification responses will be required from all applicants. Where an applicant is a Joint Venture or Consortium, each member of the Joint Venture or Consortium must provide pre-qualification within a single response document.
If applicant is a Joint Venture or Consortium, then liability for the Joint Venture or Consortium will be on a joint and several basis.
Additional conditions may be added to the Invitiation to Tender.

The applicant must request by e-mail the pre qualification questionnaire (PQQ) by the closing date as detailed in IV.3.4.
Email address to request the PQQ: Andy.Smith2@nationalgrid.com. The PQQ will be issued to applicants after the closing date of the Contract Notice to ensure all applicants have the same amount of time to complete the PQQ.

The applicant must complete and submit by the closing date the PQQ entirely completed with the most factual available data together with the requested documents.
The PQQ completed file needs to be saved on a CDROM/DVD as well as 2 printed paper versions enclosed in the PQQ submission file.
Please make sure you enclose a Word 2007 /Excel 2007 version in addition to any PDF signed versions.
The PQQ is a questionnaire divided into general questions on the level of the company and specific questions regarding HV DC subsea cable storage and repair management. Details about the full pre-qualification process will also be described in the PQQ document.
In the case of a joint venture / consortium, each of the partners separately has to submit the documents mentioned above including details of how they will operate as a joint venture.
National Grid and Réseau de Transport d’Électricité reserve the right to demand at any time from the applicant the written evidence and all the justificatory, official documents related to the legal position as specified above.
National Grid nor Réseau de Transport d’Électricité will not accept any costs for tendering.
National Grid reserves the right to cancel this event at any time without incurring any costs or charges.
