Description of the contract

The design, project management and installation of the following works; (a) 4500m of ducted 11KV cabling and connections into an adjacent development. (b) Associated HV to LV sub-station (including foundation and housing) and low voltage connections to low voltage locations such as new developments, street lighting and a pending pumping station. (c) 2000m of gas pipe installation comprising of Medium and Low Pressure gas mains and estimated five governor stations (including foundations and housings) and connections into adjacent developments. (d) 2000m of water pipe installations, diameter to be confirmed during the tender stage but expected to be in the region of 50mm and connections into adjacent developments. (e) 2500m of communications ducting and chambers for future communications cables. (f) Preliminaries including Traffic management. The majority of the works described will be in an as-built service corridor previously constructed on each side of the i54 spine road. The layout of the site is shown on Staffordshire County Council drawing number CDX8590_InfraGA_01, shown as a separate document. Several other construction sites will be operating with the i54 site concurrently. A collaborative working relationship with other parties on the development is essential to the success delivery of all the contracts. Achievement of the designated utility infrastructure commissioning dates required by the County Council and main developer is absolutely essential. Liaison with all relevant Distribution Network Operators during the works in relation to required applications is included in the contract. All works are to be to an adoptable standard of the relevant Distribution Network Operator.
