II.2.4)Description of the procurement:
North Star needs to update it’s IT infrastructure to ensure that it has a reliable, robust and scalable platforms which will meet increased technology demands from the business and which will support it’s business transformation and digital strategies.
In the short term, the solution will require the capacity and resilience to reliably continue the delivery of the applications to all office based and mobile workers and support digital services which are delivered to customers.
In the medium to long term, it is likely that as the business application portfolio is reviewed and renewed, applications which are currently hosted may move to cloud, e.g. SaaS
North Star is looking to appoint one single supplier to provide and support the full scope of requirements as defined in the TSoR, including core infrastructure, end-user device provisioning (e.g. thin client server farm and associated storage), connectivity and security. This shall include hosting or provision of the telephony services including SIP trunks.
