Full ICT managed service for South Lanarkshire Council Education and the Trust establishments to include support for 17 secondary schools, 124 primary schools including 57 nursery classes, 8 additional support needs (ASN) schools, 14 standalone early years establishments, ASN bases, 10 youth facilities and 25 public libraries and other Council establishments as required, encompassing local, wide area and wireless networks, hardware, software, peripherals and, where appropriate, training.
The Council is seeking a clear and innovative approach to this tender and one which will offer a robust and flexible solution, taking into account the existing infrastructure and systems in place (“the Legacy Environment”), and one which will demonstrate value for money.
The contract will be for an initial term of seven years with options for review, and an option for a five year extension, subject to satisfactory performance and funding.
It is anticipated that this Contract will be worth in the region of 40 000 000 GBP over the initial 7 years. This estimate does not include the value of the optional 5 year extension.

Objective criteria for choosing the limited number of candidates: It is intended that the six highest scoring applications assessed and scored in accordance with the evaluation scoring criteria detailed within the PQQ will be invited to proceed to submit formal tenders. However, the Council reserves the right to proceed with less than the 6 highest scoring applications.
