This is the tender process for the ICT Managed Services tender for Community Schools Trust, encompassing Forest Gate Community School, The Cumberland School and Hackney New School. The Trust requires a service encompassing the following core functions:
— strategic management and planning,
— programme and project management,
— project development works,
— contract and relationship management,
— network and infrastructure management,
— network administration,
— security management,
— provision of service desk,
— provision of onsite staffing,
— desktop support and maintenance,
— problem resolution,
— hardware fix (in conjunction with manufacturer warranty, etc),
— support of all legacy equipment,
— software installation, configuration and management,
— change management and implementation,
— disaster recovery. TUPE is expected to apply and the relevant information is included within the tender documents.

The contract will be awarded for an initial period of 3 years with 2 possible extensions of 12 months meaning a maximum contract length of 5 years.

A maximum of 5 suppliers will be taken forward to the invitation to tender stage of the process. Where less than 5 suppliers meet the minimum standards, only those that meet the minimum standards will be taken through to the invitation to tender stage. Where more than 5 suppliers meet the minimum standard, those suppliers with the highest scores will proceed to the invitation to tender stage.

Community Schools Trust will incorporate a standstill period at the point information on the award of the contract is communicated to tenderers. That notification will provide full information on the award decision. The standstill period, which will be for a minimum of 10 calendar days, provides time for unsuccessful tenderers to challenge the award decision before the contract is entered into The Public Contracts Regulations 2015 provide for aggrieved parties who have been harmed or are at risk of harm by a breach of the rules to take action in the High Court (England, Wales and Northern Ireland).
