The Queen Elizabeth Hospital needs to refresh and upgrade its current IT Voice and Data Network.
As part of the Project, the Trust requires pervasive services and network infrastructure components with associated services from one single ICT network partner.
Pervasive Services which will comprise of:
Technical and change management advice.
Proactive system review, tracking, stress testing and audit services.
Project management.
Training.
Horizon scanning.
Integration services.
Exit services.
The network infrastructure components will be broken in four components:
New modular build data centre (“Component 1”);
Stabilisation and refresh of the core data network (“Component 2”);
Implementation of a trust wide wireless network (“Component 3”); and.
A new integrated telephony and unified communications solution (“Component 4”).
Estimated cost excluding VAT:
Range: between 1 000 000 and 1 300 000 GBP

The Trust procurement strategy for this project is to enter into a market engagement exercise with interested suppliers.
The purpose of this exercise is to assist the Trust develop in its approach to the market in relation to its requirements & to help with the development of the Trusts Invitation to Tender.
This will include the issues the trust wishes to address by using this approach.
The market engagement questionnaire is for completion & return by no later than 10.12.2012.
