The works comprise the design and construction of a dry bulk handling facility and shall include the procurement of vessel discharge equipment in the form of continuous ship unloader(s) capable of discharging panamax vessels for onward transportation via conveyor systems into an automated storage facility capable of storing up to 100 000 tonnes of dry bulk products on a first in first out basis and the onward transportation via conveyor system into a rail loadout facility for onward transportation by train.

No deposit is required with requests to participate. Details of guarantees, design warranties and Parent Company Guarantees required under the Terms of the Contract will be advised in the Tender Document or at the pre-selection stage. (A 10 % Guarantee Bond shall be required from the successful bidder following award of the Contract).

The purchase is to be wholly financed by Associated British Ports. Provision for payment, retention and liquidated damages will accord with those provisions within the prescribed Conditions of Contract.
