The East Riding of Yorkshire Council is aiming to procure an Independent Advocacy Service in order to meet its statutory duties, and the individual needs of Service Users.

This contract will cover the following

Independent Mental Health Advocacy (IMHA)

Independent Mental Capacity Advocacy (IMCA) including a Relevant Persons Representative (RPR)

Independent Care Act Advocacy including Carers Advocacy

General Advocacy

II.2.4)Description of the procurement:

During the period April 2017 – March 2018 there was a total of 863 new cases requiring direct advocacy for residents of the East Riding. These are broken down into:

— Care Act: 129,

— RPR: 214,

— IMHA:165,

— IMCA: 320,

— General: 35.

The total number of Service Users between April 2017 and March 2018 was 863. It is anticipated that service levels will increase by no more than 10 % each year. See table below for estimated increased annual figures:
