The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs).However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement,and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.The London Borough of Richmond upon Thames and NHS South West London Richmond are seeking to commission an Independent Advocacy service for all adults over 18 with health and social care support needs residing in or with connections to the borough. The Independent advocacy service is intended to provide a single access point for adult residents who are either using or wishing to access health and/or social care services, and would benefit from advocacy support to facilitate greater choice and control over the service they receive. The Independent Advocacy service will be required to support and deliver: – Citizen and professional advocacy – Self and peer advocacy The aim is to provide a single access point for people in need of general advocacy, but with supported signposting to more specialised advocacy services as required. Ensuring a fair and equitable and outcomes focused service which is reflective of the diverse range of service user needs. The Council is hosting a Bidders event on Friday 4 May 2012 from 10:00 12:00 at Cole Court Centre, 150 London Road, Twickenham, Middlesex TW1 1HD. This is in order to provide interested organisations with further guidance on tender requirements and process. Places are limited to 2 per organisation.Organisations will be expected to have sufficient experience in the delivery of Independent Advocacy Services and have delivered a similar service.
