Infrastructure and Development Delivery Study

Description of the goods or services required

North Ayrshire Council invites tenders for Infrastructure and Development Delivery Study. The contract is expected to run for 4 Months commencing Monday, 3 December 2012.

The North Ayrshire Local Development Plan Action Programme states that ‘the Council, in conjunction with other stakeholders, will seek to proactively encourage appropriate development through engagement with landowners/developers and the identification of suitable mechanisms to help stimulate development activity. The delivery of key infrastructure development will also be supported’. The Planning Committee of 20th June 2012 agreed that a study be commissioned to investigate mechanisms for the delivery of development and infrastructure in North Ayrshire. The study will have the following principal objectives:

1) To identify the options available for the funding of identified infrastructure requirements linked to residential land use allocations made by the Proposed Local Development Plan;

2) Offer advice on specific interventions to influence residential development delivery and market demand in North Ayrshire.
