Description

Applications are invited from suitably experienced service providers wishing to tender for the provision of inspection and testing of electrical appliances in buildings owned or operated by Leicester City Council and associated organisations.

Tests to be carried out in accordance with the current edition of the following documents: –

1. Leicester City Council – Portable Electrical Equipment – Testing and Inspection Health & Safety Management Standard.

2. IET Code of Practice – In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (ISITEE).

3. HSG107 – Maintaining portable and transportable electrical equipment.

4. INDG236 ‘Maintaining Portable Electrical Equipment in Low Risk Environments’.

5. IND(G)102L – Electrical Safety for Entertainers.

6. IND(G)160L – Maintaining Portable Electrical Equipment in Offices and Other Low Risk Environments.

7. Federation of Electronic Industries (FED – “Recommendations for periodic safety checks for business equipment”.

Term of Contract: Aug 2013 – Aug 2016 an option for a further 12 months at the discretion of the Council

Selection of the provider will be by way evaluation of the qualitative questionnaire and shall be a one stage process. The single tender that is accepted will be awarded on the basis of lowest price but meeting minimum quality threshold.
