The East Riding of Yorkshire Council owns and controls approximately 50 000 items of electrical equipment located in more than 811 different locations throughout the County. The contract scope of work includes the maintenance and stewardship of an electrical equipment asset register; undertaking planned formal visual inspections and combined inspection and testing of electrical equipment; an element of undertaking planned inspection and testing of fixed electrical installations and systems (E.g. plant rooms, stage lighting systems); consequential repairs to remove danger and ensure that equipment/installations meet operational and safety standards. Working restrictions will apply.
The contract will cover the in service inspection and testing of items of electrical equipment that are the responsibility of the East Riding of Yorkshire Council, in order to meet its requirements under the following legislation/standards: The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989, The IEE Code of Practice for In-Service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment, The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998, BS 7671: 2008 Requirements for Electrical Installations – IEE Wiring Regulations 17th Edition.
The contract duration will be for an initial period of 3 years with an option to extend up to a maximum of 5 years in annual increments. The estimated annual contract value is £77000 GBP. However the estimated value is not guaranteed.
Estimated value excluding VAT: 385 000,00 GBP
Description of these options: The contract period will be 3 years, with annual options to extend at the Employer’s discretion for up to a maximum of 5 years.
