Personal Possessions Insurance for students living in the Universitys Student Accommodation. There is also a requirement for support with crime reduction initiatives at the University (for example by provision of crime prevention advice to students).
The successful Supplier must be authorised to provide insurance cover in compliance with all current legislative requirements.
It is intended that Personal Possessions Insurance be included within the rent charges for accommodation. Additional covers may be arranged directly between the student and the insurer.
Fundamentally any contract created under the provisions of the Agreement will be between the Supplier and the individual student not the University.
All claims must be dealt with by the insurer there will be no involvement by the University.
