North Somerset Council and the North Somerset Clinical Commissioning Group have operated an Integrated Community Equipment Service in North Somerset since 2003/4.
The current contract is due to expire and as such we are now inviting potential contractors to submit a PQQ for the above contract. The new contract will begin 1.10.2014 and the term of the contract will be for five years with an option to extend for two years in two, one year intervals.
The service provider will procure, administer, deliver, install, demonstrate, maintain, repair, collect, clean and recycle medical loan equipment, rehabilitation and specialist equipment including modular metal ramps. This contract also includes the supply and installation of minor adaptations and in addition the service provider will also be required to store equipment for daily living.
You should be aware that this service will take place in the homes of vulnerable and/or disabled service users and your understanding and experience of working in this type of environment will be assessed during the shortlisting process.
