Description of the contract

The London Borough of Hackney is inviting expressions of interest from organisations with specialist knowledge and extensive experience of supporting people with mental health problems to act as Lead Provider for the delivery of an Integrated Mental Health Network that will provide the following service components for adults aged 18 plus years: Service Component 1: Mental Well-Being & Prevention Service Component 2: Recovery & Social Inclusion The Lead Provider will need to demonstrate that it is able to meet the cultural, faith and language needs of Hackney’s diverse community and offer equal access to services through a Single Entry Process. It is anticipated also that the Lead Provider will need to deliver some of the services through sub-contracting arrangements with other Providers or Partners. The three-year contract, with an optional extension for a further two years, is planned to commence on 1st January 2015 Organisations planning to tender for the contract must also be aware that TUPE conditions (The Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment Regulations) 2006) may apply. How to apply

The Lead Provider will manage the Network budget as a whole, will pay and manage the subcontractors and will provide the single entry process which will include: ? Management of the referral, assessment and support planning process ? Tracking Service Users within the Network ? Managing demand and waiting lists ? Tracking move-on form the service ? Producing management information required by the Council The Lead Provider will have specialist knowledge and extensive experience of supporting people with mental health problems to recover and live independent lives as well as experience of providing support to prevent poor mental well-being. The Lead Provider will be responsible for the management of talking therapies and for ensuring that they have access to appropriate clinical expertise, and that arrangements are in place for the safe and effective management and delivery of these services including the development of robust clinical governance and quality assurance arrangements.
