Buckinghamshire County Council (BCC) welcomes expressions of interest from service providers and/or consortia that can demonstrate their ability to provide efficient and effective services to meet the needs of adults and children with a sensory disability in Buckinghamshire. This will be an integrated service offering a single point of access, involving the following service elements: sensory need assessments and support planning, equipment assessments and provision, registration, information and advice, enablement services (rehabilitation and community support), transitions.
In providing an integrated model of service, the Provider will be required to host and work in partnership with the sensory care management team, who will undertake statutory community care duties.  The Provider will not be responsible for the resourcing nor employment of the sensory care management team.
The service providers and/or consortia must be able to demonstrate quality and productivity.

The Commissioner’s are of the opinion that TUPE is likely to apply to this commissioned service
