Description of the contract

The scope of the WORKS is to: Repair and decorate windows to the nursery wing and main façade [west facing elevation] including the west windows to the coal gallery. Undertake masonry repairs to the nursery wing and main façade [west facing elevation] including the west elevation to the coal gallery. Undertake roof repairs/replacement to the south wing of the house [lead and slate] and replace all roof lights. Conserve and refurbish the second floor Nursery suite and Coal Gallery to enable the dressing of the rooms by others as if in the 1800s; these rooms will be open to the public for the first time. Conserve and refurbish the Howard bedroom suite to enable representation and redressing of the rooms by others. Conservation repairs to the Great Hall and Bucket Hall plus the reinstatement of the Great Hall fireplace to working order. Upgrade building services to affected areas.
