The University is looking for a supplier to provide a 10mb symmetrical circuit, 1:1 contention ratio with cost options for higher bandwidth, preferably on a 1gigabit bearer, listing options of 10mb increments. The University would like the ability to manage the amount of bandwidth allocated to each business unit, please provide a separate option for this in your proposal. The bandwidth management device should provide an easy to use interface. It is expected that this will be a web or Graphical User Interface (GUI) application based for most tasks, with Command Line Interface (CLI) possibly being used for uncommon procedures such as initial set up and failure recovery. A diagram of the current Commercial Network infrastructure is attached in Appendix B. The Firewall (ASA) units will be relocated to the Tower building as part of the change to the new connection.
The requirement is for the installation and provision of the link itself, NOT for the network infrastructure.

The University is looking for a supplier to provide:
— Symmetrical circuit (same speed in/out)
— 1/1 contention ratio
— Speed and bearer, starting at 10mb on 1gigabit bearer with options for higher bandwidth in increments of 10mb, including details of the processes required to upgrade.
— Public IP addresses – minimum of 36, with details of what is required if the University needs to increase this number.
— The circuit is to be terminated at Teesside University, Middlesbrough Tower, 1st floor. TS1 3BA.
— Details of the circuit presentation to include options for fibre and copper termination.
— Service Level Agreement (SLA) (fault reporting, escalation procedure etc.)
— Contract period options for 1, 3 and 5 Years.
— Highest Maximum Transmission Unit (MTU) on circuit
— Details of lead times from date of tender award to the completed go live service.
— Separate option for a bandwidth Management device
