Description

The East Cambridgeshire and Fenland Area Partnership wish to put in place a service which addresses the emerging mental health needs of young people aged 4-11 across the area through innovative, direct and bespoke interventions.

The service will be split into three distinct but interdependent workstreams for the course of a two year contract.

Workstream one: direct, bespoke work/interventions with young people aged 4-11 across East Cambridgeshire and Fenland. This workstream will run for two years.

Workstream two: direct, bespoke interventions with young people in Key Stage Two across 14 primary schools in the Ely, Littleport and Witchford locality. This work will mirror the work of workstream one in its emphasis, but will be in a school setting only. This workstream will run for one year of the contract only.

Workstream three: direct, bespoke interventions with young people in Key Stage Two across 19 primary schools in the Bottisham, Burwell and Soham locality. This work will mirror the work of workstream one in its emphasis, but will be in a school setting only. This workstream will run for one year of the contract only.

This contract’s funding ceiling is £98k and bids should not exceed this

Workstream one: up to £70k (to not exceed this)

Workstream two: £18k for one year only

Workstream three: £10k for one year only

Each workstream will not seek to be a traditional counselling service and will not overlap or duplicate any of the counselling services already commissioned by Cambridgeshire County Council or the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust (CPFT). The service will have an emphasis on “early help” and “low level” interventions and will not seek to address needs which correspond to anything above stage one or two of the Cambridgeshire’s model of staged Intervention (MOSI).

The aim of the contract is to address the current unmet need and will prevent a proportion of cases presenting as much more acute later on.
