Sandwell MBC Neighbourhoods Directorate is responsible for the management upkeep and repair of properties owned by the Council. Tenders are invited for asbestos removal and remedial works to properties within the Borough of Sandwell. The work is unscheduled and of a jobbing nature as we cannot determine the presence of asbestos until the repair is allocated.
There are approximately 29 000 domestic properties covered by this contract that consist of municipal housing varying in age from 30 to 150 years, of both traditional and system built construction of low, medium and high rise.
The contract period is for 4 years with a current annual budget of 178 000 although this cannot be guaranteed as a level of expenditure throughout the duration of the contract.
