The University has approved a significant change in strategic transformation under a Digital Campus programme. Essential to this is a robust IT infrastructure including a storage environment, virtualization platform and a comprehensive backup environment. The University envisages moving from traditional on premises IT to a hybrid delivery model.
The most immediate requirement is the replacement of the storage platform, virtualisation layer and the backup environment. In addition, there is an essential need to document a forward looking technical architecture for the storage and virtualization environment. Please see ‘Schedule 1’ for further details.
It is envisaged that this Contract will be let for a period of 5 years (with an option to extend for up to a further 12 months subject to satisfactory performance and agreement by both parties). The Contract is expected to commence on 19.11.2015.
The Qualification section will be assessed on a pass/fail basis in accordance with the standard qualification questions implemented by the Crown Commercial Services (CCS)/Cabinet Office.
The requirements here include:
— The successful Supplier must have a minimum of 5 000 000 GBP Public Liability Insurance,
— The successful Supplier must have a minimum of 10 000 000 GBP Employers Indemnity Insurance,
— The Tenderer must have a minimum annual turnover of 2 000 000 GBP a debt: equity ratio of <2.
Additional Qualification elements are as follows:
— The supplier must confirm the solution includes 5-years support and warranty detailed into the following subsections as a minimum: Storage, Virtualization and Backup.

— You can now access any attachments by clicking ‘Buyer Attachments’ in the ‘PQQ/ ITT Details’ box 3. Responding to the tender.
— Click ‘My Response’ under ‘PQQ/ ITT Details’, you can choose to ‘Create Response’ or to ‘Decline to Respond’ (please give a reason if declining).
— You can now use the ‘Messages’ function to communicate with the buyer and seek any clarification.
