Description of the contract

Southampton City Council (SCC) and NHS Southampton invite quotations for the provision of a specialist domestic violence abuse (DVA) service within the 38 NHS General Practices (GP’s) in Southampton. The service to be delivered is modelled on the nationally recognised IRIS (Identification and Referral to Improve safety) project. The service will deliver DVA training and support and a referral programme to primary care staff in GP surgeries. It is a targeted intervention for female patients aged 16 and above experiencing current or former DVA from a partner, ex-partner or adult family member . The national IRIS project team have developed and designed a package of templates for all areas of the project which can be utilised by the provider of the service locally. The key aims of the service are to improve the safety of patients and their families exposed to DVA in Southampton through direct advocacy, support and signposting services, contributing to reducing repeat victimisation, to increase awareness and knowledge of DVA issues and of pathways to help for those affected within GP’s, to encourage disclosures and referrals made via GP’s. Whilst every effort has been made to consider the full scope of the requirement the Contracting Authority does not guarantee the volume of goods/service/works required resulting from this quotation or that it will accept any quotation on completion of the quotation exercise.
