The Home Office group (HO) includes a core Home Office department, UK Border Agency (UKBA), Border Force (BF) and several other executive agencies.
This current organisation of IT groups is under review and will be restructured during the course of this contract. The selected contract will need to be able to flex with this changing structure.
This group of IT organisations require ICT research and strategy support services for advice across the whole HO. The IT group needs independent, up-to-date advice and analysis on key trends in ICT, as well as analysis and comparison of specific vendor offerings.
In addition to technology trends, advice is required on best practice approaches to organising and managing functions and processes, addressing specific ICT issues and the ability to benchmark in-house and supplier capabilities against the wider environment.
Advice will be required relating to the a rapidly changing nature of the ICT and public sector environment, reflecting the new government ICT strategy and the degree of change currently managed within the HO.

Any organisation intending to submit an expression of interest and thus obtain access to the Invitation to Tender documents must be registered as a supplier with the Home Office eSourcing Portal.
