Government Procurement Service as the Contracting Authority will be putting in place a Pan government collaborative framework agreement for use by UK public sector bodies identified at VI.3 (and any future successors to these organisations), which include central government departments and their arm’s length bodies and agencies, non departmental public bodies, NHS bodies and local authorities.
The above public sector bodies have a need for desktop services contracts that will be compliant with the Government CIO ICT strategy and the end user device strategy. (Strategy documents available for download from, to be as confirmed in the subsequent procurement.

The Contracting Authority intends to use an eTendering system in this procurement exercise and reserves the right to use a reverse auction. Government Procurement Service may change both the scope and the structure of the framework as a result of market and customer engagement. Government Procurement Service cannot guarantee that a call for competition will definitely take place. In preparation for the upcoming procurement, Government Procurement Service is keen to understand the current and future market for desktop services, including commercial options to deliver best value and, technological approaches suitable to government needs along with, scalability for government. Government Procurement Service would appreciate the market’s views on this procurement and there is a request for information available upon request which provide more detailed information on the required services.
