Network Rail is seeking to engage with a Provider of Technology Services to undertake the transformation to and provision of desk-side support to its desktop, agile and mobile IT users nationwide.
In the early stages of the engagement, Network Rail expects the Provider to deliver a technological transformation to the desktop environment and deliver a world-class, cutting-edge desk-side support services partnership by enabling an ‘anywhere-anytime’ model. This will deliver vastly improved ticket handling times and ensure that users are not impeded from working for prolonged periods, regardless of location.
The successful Provider will be able to demonstrate the capability to manage and transform desktop environments in large organisations with many locations across a single territory without adverse impact to operational activities, be able to deliver cost saving and efficient processes together designed to improve the customer experience, decrease process time and improve recognition for the service within the organisation.
As a result of this transformation, the successful Provider will be charged with maintaining the quality and standard of services delivered to Network Rail and progressively enhance the quality and drive down costs of the service with the introduction of cutting edge market evolutions.
As a part of the scope of the service, the successful Provider will becoming the sole supplier of desktop hardware to Network Rail and therefore must be able to demonstrate a rich market awareness and capability in the provision of desktop IT hardware, software (including complex licensing) and peripherals.
