Description of the contract

Key Tasks Required are: • Works with the Senior Analyst, Technical Architect, Senior Developer and Database Administrator to transition the proposed functionality from models into code and a database. • Understands and agrees the content of project documentation such as the System Use Cases, Implementation Model and the Software Architecture Document. • Investigates and decides which modules are to be developed understanding the implications of these module changes in terms of the data layer / presentation layer. • Develops the appropriate code to defined standards, conducts unit, suite and system test and achieves sign off in accordance with project procedures. • Fully tests all implementation code and assists the system and load testing functions when required. • Maintains artefacts utilising ClearCase for Configuration Management. • Maintains change/enhancement requests and defect reports using ClearQuest. • Adheres to the IT Infrastructture Library (ITIL) Service Management processes as detailed in Operational Services Infrastructure Library (OSIL). • Contribute to the development of appropriate standards. • Be able to demonstrate an extensive level of experience in developing Web Services and Java code utilising, for example: Java Servlets, HTML/JSP, XML/XSL and Java Application Servers, preferably WebLogic. Spring, Hibernate, CXF, Maven and Jaxb.
