Social services. Administrative social services. Community action programme. Accommodation and office services. Guidance services. To appoint a Service Provider to provide a Kent and Medway advisory service for persons assessed as non-priority (single homelessness) that will:
· Provide a front line service for single people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness as a first point of contact;
· Undertake an assessment of each persons needs to help them to prevent homelessness and improve their opportunities to sustain a home in the future;
· Ensure that there is close coordination with the relevant local authority to ensure that any homelessness duties are met;
· Where single person households are homeless or at risk of homelessness offer advice, support and available intervention(s)s to help prevent their homelessness.
The Service Provider may either be a single organisation or group of organisations (consortium) that will undertake this contract in its entirety.
The overall aim of the service will be to prevent homelessness for non-priority (single homelessness) persons or remedy homelessness for those accessing the service as homeless.
The contract will be awarded for the period (to be inserted), subject to meeting quarterly performance criteria. An extention of three years will be built into the contract (subject to further funding being made available).
